Everyone knows that Tiger is a great guy off the course, but what about on the course?

ESPN has put out an article regarding his horrible showing at this years Open Championship held at Turnberry. He is the worlds best golfer but yet when he hits a bad shot he reacts like a kid, throwing his club, cursing and what not. Most of Tigers followers are kids, what do you think they will do when they hit a bad shot? I’m not trying to be rude but come on Tiger, grow up! Take a bad shot like a real professional.

Golf is a gentlemen’s sport, not a throwing clubs, eff bombs sport. Do it for all of the young golfers that look up to you as a icon in the golf world and in the sports realm.

So it’s been about 20 years since Buffalo, NY has had a real superstar. With T.O. arriving at training camp meant that the fans showed up as well, nearly 5,000 over two training sessions. Fans sporting his latest morning endorsement- Terrell Owens Cereal “Limited Edition Collector’s Box”.“It proved to be a circus-type atmosphere. There were fans who had ‘T.O.’ painted on their chests in Bills colors. Others brought their popcorn and spilled it on to the field. Many brought boxes of the limited edition ‘T.O’s’ breakfast cereal that’s available in local grocery stores. And there was certainly a large amount of No. 81 jerseys that dotted the stands.” -Associated Press Story

Self-Absorbed Soriano

It looked as though the game would last forever before Soriano’s 13th-inning grand slam gave the Cubs a 5-1 victory over the Houston Astros. (Chicago Tribune)

But more important than the victory, was the display of ego from Mir. Soriano. Soriano was booed by the crowd (40, 794) after failing to run out a grounder in the 11th inning, when the umpire ruled he didn’t foul the pitch off his foot.

“I told him, if I say the ball hit me in my foot, it hit me in my foot,” Soriano said. “I don’t have to lie.”

But it was his display while he trotted the bases in his grand slam that made eyes roll, as pictured above. The video of the grand slam is here. He waited on it and barely ran it out, threw his hands up in the “you can’t see me” celebration. Self-absorbed as ESPN calls it, but then again it was a walk-off grand slam, and surely something to be proud of, but no need to boast, especially after incidents earlier in the night.

I personally don’t think T.O. is attractive, besides his glittering smile, but he sure thinks he is, along with his two, yes two, publicists Kita Williams and Monique Jackson. The T.O. Show’s publicity art is a nude portrait of the football star. Are we supposed to take him seriously?

His team of publicists have been pushing for Owens to have a reality show to show to world “the man” as opposed to T.O. “the self-aggrandizing, fine-magnet of a star receiver who was recently bounced from the Dallas Cowboys.” Is it working? Hardly. It gives us a glimpse of him partying, shopping, being pampered and what else… lovin’ the ladies. On another note, it is hard to take his publicists seriously. Newsflash: You can’t hire two of your friends to do professional image and branding work for you when they are partying with you and causing drama.

The point of the show is to convey “Terrell”, not the infamous “T.O.” to the world… but maybe people really can’t change.

So what is all the hype about the infamous Brett Farve? Nothing burns more than rumors of possibly playing for a division rival. Retire or not to retire? I mean he has talent, there is no doubt in that, but he needs to stop this seesaw pattern already. The fans hate it and it gets quite annoying. Turn on the one town that would forever bleed green and yellow for you? Not a good idea. Give a new QB the shot and step aside. Join the trend and get your Benedict Brett shirt here.
